Alex Born's new single is the future of his music

Alex Born (@alexwasborn) is an independent artist from Portugal. At 18, he decided to try his luck in London. He's currently studying music while working on his personal projects. Born released an EP in 2020 and he comes back now with a new single and a music video edited and produced by him.
During quarantine, Alex Born felt the need to reinvent himself. Being stuck at home gave him time to figure out who he is and where he wants to go with his music and "My Path" is exactly about that.

Born was always very passionate about music. From a young age, writing music was how he channelled and dealt with his emotions. This allowed him to connect with his family and the people around him because it helped them understand Born better.

Alex Born takes inspirations from classics such as Radiohead but also new artists. Born has a different inspiration for different parts of music components. He looks at Phoebe Bridges as a great lyricist and Lady Gaga, who he considers to be one of the artists who pathed the way to music and performance as we know it now. Born adds "I take inspiration from everything, video games, films, any art that makes me feel something and that I can repurpose into my music."
Born explains being an independent artist gives him the creative freedom to write whatever, whenever he wants. However, as a starting out artist, Born faces several issues when it comes to getting his music to reach more people. Yet, he doesn't let this discourage him, because he does it for his true love of music.
"This single is the start of something new. I'm excited for what's to come for me and my music." Alex Born says with a smile on his face.
